Liz Beattie is a distinguished former member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly, serving from 1999 to 2014. During her tenure, she held key leadership roles, including Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier, as well as in the portfolios of Planning, Education, and Tourism and Sport. Liz was the founder of the Friends of Sri Lanka in the Victorian Parliament. Since leaving Parliament, Liz has continued to make significant contributions to governance, holding senior positions such as Council Member at Victoria University and Trustee Member/Deputy Chair of the Greater Metropolitan Cemetery Trust. A Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), Liz brings deep expertise in public policy, strategic oversight, and institutional leadership.
